How to infuse honey using ALTA 1
With its natural sweetness and smooth texture, infused honey is more than just a sweetener; it’s a gateway to a world of flavor and creativity.
Whether you’re enhancing your wellness routine or exploring new flavors in the kitchen, infused honey is your ticket to a deliciously versatile and healthful experience.
Ingredients
- 7g–1oz of fresh or coarsely ground dried herb
- 2 cups (around 16oz) of honey
Equipment
- Your ALTA1 machine.
- A strainer.
Instructions
1. Place the fresh or coarsely ground dried herbs into the Kettle. (If using fresh herbs, start with the DRY cycle. For flowers, select the ACTIVATE cycle instead of the DRY cycle.)
2. After the DRY or ACTIVATE cycle is complete, add honey into the Kettle, and close the lid
securely.
3. If you’re infusing honey with flowers, don’t forget to mix in lecithin with the honey before
starting the infusion.
4. Set your ALTA 1 to run the ALTAFUSE cycle. Change the settings to 120°F for 1 hour.
5. Once the infusion is complete and the honey is still warm, strain it into a clean, airtight container, like a glass jar, using the strainer to capture every bit of your infused honeyi
6. Store your honey in a cool, dry place, or for longer-lasting freshness.
